The Avalanche make an announcement regarding Jonathan Drouin, and it's very bad news for him
Late last night, we received some rather unfortunate news involving forward Jonathan Drouin, the former Montreal Canadien.
He was removed from the 1st line and was separated from Nathan MacKinnon/Mikko Rantanen.
This must obviously be a huge disappointment for Jonathan, but he can still play on a line complemented by Artturi Lehkonen and Ryan Johansen.
It's not bad, but it's far from the two 100-point players that MacKinnon and Rantanen are. This definitely puts the narrative that Drouin has the potential to score 60-65 points this season in Colorado at risk.
Story to follow.
Drouin, 28 years old, has one point in 3 games with the Avalanche and 4 penalty minutes.
See the lines deployed by Colorado in Seattle last night.
"Nichushkin-MacKinnon-Rantanen
Lehkonen-Johansen-Drouin
Wood-Colton-Tatar

At one point in the game, Tomas Tatar even took shifts in place of Drouin.
