5 players suddenly leave the Canadiens organization
Five players have just left the Montreal Canadiens organization, including a surprising departure on defense.
In the past few minutes, Kent Hughes and the Habs have confirmed the departure of five players, including goaltender Strauss Mann.
Filip Cederqvist, Nolan Yaremko, Lias Andersson, Strauss Mann, and Olivier Galipeau are leaving the Laval Rocket as well as the Montreal Canadiens organization

«We wanted to wish good luck to 5 former players who will continue their careers in Europe!
Good luck, Filip, in Sweden!
Good luck, Nolan, in Germany!
Good luck, Lias, in Switzerland!
Good luck, Strauss, in Germany!
Good luck, Olivier, in Germany!» - Laval Rocket
Classy move!
As for Lias Andersson, we mentioned him earlier today.
However, farewell to Strauss Mann, who will finally have the chance to settle somewhere after playing the yo-yo game all season long.
The 25-year-old goaltender finished the 2023-2024 season with a record of 2-9-2 in the AHL, a goals-against average of 3.69, and a save percentage of 0.879. However, he was very solid for the Trois-Rivières Lions.
Here are the details on the other skaters.
Filip Cederqvist, 23, was acquired via trade with the Buffalo Sabres by Kent Hughes on January 11, 2024. He recorded 7 points in 34 games with the Laval Rocket.
Lias Andersson, 25, tallied 45 points in 53 games with the Laval Rocket.
Nolan Yaremko, 26, scored 6 points in 13 games with the Laval Rocket.
Finally, it's surprising to see Olivier Galipeau leave, as he was performing very well with the Laval Rocket, accumulating 18 points in 55 games (playing significant minutes on defense), but we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
More details will follow, but it is clear we will see significant changes in the Laval Rocket lineup starting next season.
