As reported by Patrick Friolet, who covers the CH for RDS, we just witnessed a bizarre scene in Philadelphia.
"Cayden Primeau just landed in Philadelphia, where the CH is playing tomorrow.
Recall announced soon?
31 save performance in a Rocket win in Winnipeg yesterday.
In his last 9 games, he's showing a 2.33 GAA and a .924 save percentage." It would be quite a coup if Primeau lands, without warning, with the Montreal Canadiens, to take the place of Samuel Montembeault or Jake Allen, but this seems to be a hint in that direction.
Obviously, Martin St-Louis won't be able to dress three goalies.
A big file to follow closely, but don't be surprised if the CH announces the recall of Primeau today.
And we imagine that it would not be a recall to leave him in the stands.
