We didn't want to revisit this, but a noteworthy new piece of information has just surfaced.
To add to the "Jonathan Drouin saga", the site DansLesCoulisses has just published a piece of information that has everyone talking.
Let's first recall what he had mentioned in a press conference over the weekend:
I missed the meeting, I arrived two minutes late. This is my ninth year in the National League and it had never happened to me in my career."
- Jonathan Drouin
According to what DLC reports, it wasn't the first time in Drouin's career that it happened after all.
"In actuality, it wasn't the first time he'd missed a team meeting since he made his pro debut.
It was notably one of the topics on Georges Laraque and Maxime Truman's show today on BPM Sports. The former Habs player, while digging around, came across a CBC News piece published in 2016, where he read that Julien BriseBois (GM of the Syracuse Crunch at the time) had suspended the Quebecer for the duration of a game, precisely because he had missed a meeting."

Well, at this point, it's up to you to make your own opinion of this information, but I think I can speak for all fans when I say that we can move on.
Missing two meetings in your career is far from the end of the world, and I know former NHL players who could talk about it for a long time about players who missed meetings much more often. (and no one was talking about it)
Now, Jonathan Drouin is back at the center of the Montreal Canadiens' second line for tonight's game, and he is facing Julien BriseBois.
We wish him a solid performance! Go Jonathan!
