Announcement from the NHL on Sean Monahan's Goal: A Post by Renaud Lavoie Quickly Goes Viral
For those who missed it, last night, towards the end of the Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks game, forward Sean Monahan scored a goal to make the score 5-3 for the Habs.
Temporarily, the final score was 5-3, but that was before the NHL made an official announcement to "cancel" Monahan's goal.
After the game and a review, officials finally ruled that there was no time left on the clock when Monahan scored.
In short, that's not the point, even if it's good to know, especially if you were at La Cage tonight and thought you were getting free chicken wings!
See Renaud Lavoie's post informing fans. Let's just say it caused quite a stir for a reason you'll quickly understand.
And see the comments under the post.
Indeed, not the journalist's best work.
Note that Sean Monahan was absent from his team's practice today, having another day of treatments.
