Are the Montreal Canadiens about to make an important announcement?
The Montreal Canadiens played one of their last preseason games last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and we were treated to a great show (and a nice comeback).
The team is now heading to Mont-Tremblant for a few days. On the agenda, several "team building" activities in preparation for the season.
Yesterday at the press point, head coach Martin St-Louis refused to confirm that all players still present at the CH camp will be making the trip to Mont-Tremblant.
So, we have serious reasons to believe that an announcement from the Canadiens could be imminent and could occur in the next few hours/minutes.
Who will be cut? Who will go to Mont-Tremblantt? It would indeed be logical to reduce the group to a minimum before this significant trip.
We will have the answer shortly, and rest assured that we will keep you informed.
Let us remind you that there are currently still 31 players in camp. (so about 8 too many)
Among the interesting names still present, there are notably Cayden Primeau, Justin Barron, Logan Mailloux, Gustav Lindstrom, Mattias Norlinder, Emil Heineman, and Jesse Ylonen.
It will be interesting to see which of the names above will manage to surprise at the 2023 camp.
