When the excellent Élizabeth Rancourt, from TVA Sports, had notably declared this about Carey Price during an appearance on the Solemn podcast:
"Every time, I totally burst people's bubble when they tell me they are thrilled about Price. He is a very good goalkeeper. [...] In my opinion, that athlete does not like hockey.
It's as simple as that. He got there because he had the talent, but this guy, in my opinion, just wants to leave for the West, fish, and hunt. That's it. [...] In my opinion, he hasn't enjoyed hockey for years, because he is just there because he has the talent and the money that comes with it. That's all."

Did Carey hear about this story and these statements?
Hard to say, however, many fans noticed something very interesting yesterday. During Carey Price's very first press conference since this story, the #31 goaltender repeatedly emphasized how much he missed playing hockey.
"I think what I will miss the most is playing games. That energy you have, that nervousness, that little adrenaline rush. This aspect of hockey is really something that will be hard to replace."

Later, he also added this:
"I love hockey, I love going to the arena with my family and teammates. Putting on my pads and going onto the ice, watching my kids in the stands, I really miss all of that."

Clearly, this answers the question, and even if he was not directly addressing Élizabeth Rancourt, Carey Price completely denied her statements.
