In the last few seconds, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes has completed another trade, a much more minor one this time.

"The Canadiens have traded the 128th overall pick in 2022 to VGK in return for their 4th round pick in 2023." - Montreal Canadiens

The Habs had another pick, seconds later, and they got their hands on Jared Davidson (with the 130th overall pick)

Good summary here from J-F Chaumont:

"The CH had two picks in the 4th round.

With the 127th pick, the Tricolore drafted left winger Cédrick Guindon, a Franco-Ontarian.

59 pts (30 b, 29 p) in 68 games at Owen Sound.

The CH then traded the 128th pick to the Vegas Golden Knights for a fourth-round pick in 2023."

With the pick traded to Vegas, the Knights drafted Cameron Whitehead, a 6-foot-3 goalie.

Jared Davidson, 20, is a 6-foot center who has 89 points (42 goals) in 64 games this season in the WHL. (plus 29 points in 25 playoff games)

Cedrick Guindon, 18, is a 5-foot-10 left winger. He has 59 points (30 goals) in 68 games in the OHL in 2021-22.
