In a press conference earlier today, veteran Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen made a very mature statement that speaks volumes about his character.
Allen didn't beat around the bush in admitting that he is currently going through a very tough time.
He made his mea culpa after today's team practice.
"I know I need to give more, and I'm capable of doing it. Obviously, it's more difficult for me. But I feel like I've been solid in the last five games, and that's what I'm focusing on.»
- Jake Allen, who also had very good words, once again, about his teammate Samuel Montembeault This occurs at the 22nd minute of the following video.
Clearly, it's not a matter of lack of effort or bad attitude for Allen, far from it!
Credit:
Allen, 33, has a record of 4-8-2 this season, with a 3.52 average and a .900 save percentage.
His trade value has not necessarily been on the rise in recent weeks, which certainly makes the job difficult for General Manager Kent Hughes.
To be continued!
