We told you earlier today about some deal suggestions that Marc-Olivier Beaudoin, of Danslescoulisses.com, had received from a few internet users.
One of them proposed a trade between the Canadiens and the Nashville Predators, where Predators defensemen Jeff Petry and Philippe Myers were involved. Finally, Kent Hughes could acquire the latter for free.
The defenseman was put into the ballot today by the Predators and if he is not claimed by tomorrow at 2:00 p.m., he will be traded to Nashville's AHL feeder club.
Myers, 25, played his junior field hockey in the QMJHL with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies before joining the Philadelphia Flyers. Last summer, he was involved in the trade that sent Ryan Ellis to Philadelphia. This season, Myers has just four points in 27 games with the Predators.
