It was one of the worst kept secrets in the NHL, Hurricanes forward and former CH, Jesperi Kotkaniemi has signed a lucrative 8 year contract in Carolina. (annual value of 4.82 million)
When confirming his contract extension with the Canes yesterday, Kotkaniemi mentioned this:
"When I got to Carolina, I remembered how much fun hockey was."
You can guess that, once again, many detected an unnecessary point directed at the Montreal Canadiens organization here. Did he not find hockey fun in Montreal anymore or what?
This useless and inappropriate statement from Kotkaniemi made Martin Lemay lose his mind during the "On jase" podcast on RDS:
"What a lack of maturity from Kotkaniemi (...), hey chief, you play 5 to 8 minutes on the 4th line, hockey is fun? Your standards are not very high, what a thick!"
Well sent! How much hate can he have for an organization that trusted him by drafting him third overall in an NHL draft? Seriously...
