In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens organization has made a really important, grandiose announcement for the fans.
Today, the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation announced major financial support measures for the community.
Sixty-five organizations across the province will receive financial support from the Foundation. This is big!
"The Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation awards $943,000 in donations.
This financial support, granted to 65 community organizations across Quebec, will support projects encouraging the adoption of a healthy lifestyle through physical activity for young people aged 4 to 17."

We have more details:
"Children from low-income families, for whom the costs associated with leisure activities often represent one of the main barriers preventing sports practice, will benefit from the projects supported by the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation.
By supporting initiatives that facilitate access to equipment, facilities, and local, high-quality programming for thousands of socioeconomically disadvantaged young people, the Foundation hopes to contribute to reducing these inequalities and provide an additional incentive for regular physical activity."
