Major: Gary Bettman has just given his verdict to Logan Mailloux about his eligibility to play in the NHL
The news we were all eagerly awaiting has just been released.
See what Renaud Lavoie, a journalist who covers the Montreal Canadiens for TVA Sports, has just published.
"According to several sources, Logan Mailloux has been given the green light to play in the NHL when he secures a position with the CanadiensMTL, putting an end to all speculation." It would be officially settled! Logan Mailloux has finally received the green light from Gary Bettman to play in the NHL this season for the Montreal Canadiens.
This is great news for the young man and we are extremely happy for him.
It goes to show that Mailloux had his meeting with Bettman and that the meeting went very well.
Mailloux, 20 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman. He was a 1st round pick (31st overall) in 2021 by the Canadiens.
Last season, he posted a record of 25 goals and 28 assists for a total of 53 points in 59 games with the London Knights in the OHL, in addition to adding 24 points in 21 playoff games.
On a strictly hockey basis, do you think Mailloux will play games with the Canadiens this season?
Details to follow.
