Major revelation from Chantal Machabée about Arber Xhekaj and his value

Although a right shoulder injury abruptly ended his season in February, it can be said that Arber Xhekaj was a fan favorite during his rookie season with the Canadiens.

In addition to being a great hockey player, the 6'4", 238-pound defenseman quickly became an attraction at the Bell Centre due to his personality,look , and fighting strength.

To such an extent that, according to information from Georges Laraque on BPM Sports, Arber Xhekaj would be the most in-demand player within the Canadiens organization, and this is true on several levels.

It would actually be Chantal Machabée herself who revealed this information to him.

Xhekaj would thus be the player receiving the most interview requests, even ahead of Cole Caufield and captain Nick Suzuki.

The same goes for the team's merchandise at the store. Arber Xhekaj is currently the best-selling player among all members of the Habs, including Caufield and Suzuki.

Furthermore, is it possible that Xhekaj is also the most sought-after player among other NHL GMs?

Perhaps it's possible. Especially if we consider that despite his popularity, Xhekaj probably doesn't have untouchable status in Kent Hughes' eyes.

After all, no general manager will call Hughes to inquire about Cole Caufield or Nick Suzuki. They are untouchable within the organization. Period.

Does this mean that Arber Xhekaj will be traded soon? Not at all. But it wouldn't be surprising if Kent Hughes received calls about a player with such a unique playing style as Xhekaj's, if that's indeed the case.
