Who wouldn't want to go back to the 2018 draft and change the Montreal Canadiens' selection?
At the time, the Habs had a glaring lack of center players, so the organization opted for Jesperi Kotkaniemi instead of Brady Tkachuk or even Quinn Hughes, thanks to the third overall pick. When you have a pick this high, you never draft by position... You draft the best player available.
This is what the journalist Marc-André Perreault wanted to pass as a message to the Montreal Canadiens, thanks to this tweet:
The Habs must suffer from this selection today by seeing Brady Tkachuk play for the Ottawa Senators. He almost single-handedly beat the Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring his first career hat trick in a 4-0 win.
In addition, the Senators' captain has no less than 12 points in his last 10 games. Quite a uppercut to the face of CH fans.
As Marc-André Perreault mentioned above, if only Brady Tkachuk was a center... The old management really missed the boat.
