Marc Bergevin has shown interest in an intriguing young talent
According to TSN's Frank Seravalli, the Montreal Canadiens have their eyes set on young Russian forward Vitali Kravtsov of the New York Rangers.
Recall that the 21-year-old forward was demoted to the Rangers' AHL team, a situation that Kravtsov refused outright. The ninth pick of the 2018 draft would be on the trade market for a little while.
