With five games left in the regular season, many Canadiens fans want to forget about this miserable year for the team as soon as possible.
And the best way to do that is to look ahead and speculate on what changes Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton will make to the organization this off-season.
While many fans would like to see defenseman Kristopher Letang arrive in Montreal this summer, a reporter from La Presse suggests that another Quebec star player is coming to the Habs as a free agent.
Like reports Alex Déry, of Fanadiens.com, Alexandre Pratt could very well see Patrice Bergeron signing a contract with the Habs.
« I would go more for Patrice Bergeron, who will also become an independent player. I can already hear people saying, "come on, Bergeron, it's impossible, he's a Bruins player for life, he'll never come here." He hasn't signed a contract extension yet and he could take some pressure off Nick Suzuki (...) For me, Bergeron is the ideal target to go after. » Although Bergeron had stated a few months ago that he saw himself finishing his career with the Bruins, the fact that he still hasn't signed a contract extension with the team may say a lot about the real intentions of Bruins general manager Don Sweeney.
And like Letang, the center, who will be 37 years old next July, had a certain Kent Hughes as his agent.
Do you believe Bergeron in Montreal?
