In a media scrum after his game against the Montreal Canadiens, young forward Shane Wright was asked to comment on his first career NHL goal, scored against the team that ignored him with the first overall pick.
As reported by TVA Sports, Wright tied the game at 1-1 in the first period with his first career NHL goal.
Check out his response:
"It feels amazing. I already can't remember the puck crossing the line. I kind of lost my memory during the celebrations."
"Obviously, it's something I'm going to remember for the rest of my life. Everyone was pretty happy for me, the guys congratulated me and told me to go score another one." - Shane Wright
He obviously had a huge smile stamped on his face.
Some Montreal Canadiens fans actually criticized Wright over this, precisely because he looked way too happy after his team's loss yesterday, but hey, you be the judge.
"A real winner wouldn't smile so much after a loss!"
Granted, he doesn't have the face of a player who just lost a hockey game and is disappointed, but at the same time, it's not just another goal for him.

He has talent, the youngster!
