For a few weeks now, we can say that Juraj Slafkovsky has been playing excellent hockey.
The Canadiens' first pick in 2022 is gaining more and more confidence, and despite the fact that his offensive production remains modest, Martin St-Louis is using him in all sorts of ways, he is now on the first line alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
This vote of confidence from his coach is allowing him to develop beautifully, and a renowned journalist even made quite a prediction about the young Slovak forward.
During his appearance on BPM Sports, Luc Gélinas from RDS stated that Slafkovsky will be the best Habs forward in two years, nothing less.
Certainly, we are witnessing significant evolution in his play. He is getting more involved in forechecking and has generated a significant number of scoring chances.
Even if the results on the score sheet are still slow to materialize, Slafkovsky has been playing with a lot of confidence since he was paired with Suzuki and Caufield.
It is still early to claim that number 20 will become the team's best forward in two years, but I want to remind you that he is only 19 years old.
