Goaltender Samuel Montembeault is currently one of the hot topics in the world of hockey, especially thanks to his exploits in front of Team Canada's net at the 2023 World Championships.
He is attracting more and more attention from the media and journalists, which is a good thing.
However, this can lead to some excesses, and there is one that has been denounced in the past few hours by former Montreal Canadiens scout Grant McCagg.
"Monty says a few words in French and the TSN director immediately interrupts him. The Toronto Sports Network never fails to disappoint."

Having seen the sequence, it wasn't even subtle on their part and it's regrettable.
It's easy to criticize our networks like TVA Sports or RDS, but it's not necessarily always better elsewhere.
Of course, this recalls the time when Alexis Lafrenière was denied the right to speak in French by the Rangers.
It's not done making people talk.
