We just learned that the Winnipeg Jets have traded Bryan Little's big contract (his career is obviously over) and young Nathan Smith to the Arizona Coyotes.
In exchange, the Jets receive a fourth round pick.
Smith is a 23-year-old who has scored an impressive 49 points in 34 games this season in the NCAA.
This is exactly the kind of trade Kent Hughes would like to complete with Arizona, to free up the contract of Shea Weber. More details to follow!
