According to what Scott Wheeler of The Athletic reported, in the final seconds, Montreal Canadiens prospect Owen Beck was surprisingly cut from Team Canada Junior.
The same goes for Zachary Bolduc, Jordan Dumais and Evan Nause.
You read that right. Jordan Dumais, who is currently breaking a lot of records, was cut (19 goals 54 points in 25 games).
Even in Beck's case, nobody saw it coming. A defensively solid player like that is certainly valuable in a tournament like this.
More details to come.
