It's no longer a secret! With the miserable season that the Habs are experiencing, they will undoubtedly be in the sellers' camp at the next trade deadline. Several veterans could leave the ship to get young prospects in return.

Among the veterans most likely to leave the organization is defenseman Ben Chiarot. The 30-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent this season.

In a previous article, we reported that the Florida Panthers would be among the teams very interested in Chiarot.

Two prospects in the Florida Panthers' camp could be of great interest to the Habs in return for Chiarot. They are Justin Sourdif and Cole Schwindt.

Sourdif is a third round pick in the 2020 auction. He participated in the most recent World Junior Under-20 Championship with Team Canada. Unfortunately, he only played in one game due to the cancellation of the tournament. The young right winger has already recorded 31 points in 22 games this season with the Vancouver Giants in the WHL.

As for Schwindt, he is also a third round pick, but in 2019. So he is a year older than Sourdif. He already has very good statistics in the American League with 19 points in 27 games with the Charlotte Checkers. The young center is only 20 years old.

Would you like to see these two young prospects come to Montreal in return for Ben Chiarot? If not, what would you ask the Panthers to give for the former Winnipeg Jets defenseman?
