Montreal Canadiens goaltender Samuel Montembeault continues to impress us with his attitude and impeccable work ethic, and we think it's important to talk about it.
Sunday morning, on his DAY OFF, he was the only player on the ice still training and perfecting his craft.
Instead of resting, he got up early and went to the ice.
'Samuel Montembeault was the only player on the ice Sunday morning.
He backed up Cayden Primeau in Buffalo the day before, while Jake Allen did not make the trip.
[...]
I like seeing Montembeault, the day after a trip to Buffalo, jump on the ice and work on the little details (lateral movements, forward explosions, positioning)..
- Anthony Martineau, TVA Sports We are increasingly realizing that the Canadiens need to act and do something to give more games to the Quebecer. He deserves it and the three-goalie situation has lasted long enough.
We are lucky, we have a very good one, a real one, and a hometown boy.
