We have an interesting competition right now in front of the net for the Montreal Canadiens.

Jakub Dobes is still undefeated in regulation and has been sensational since his call-up, while Samuel Montembeault, for his part, has literally stolen games, although he has shown inconsistency.

I mentioned it yesterday before the game against the New Jersey Devils, but a win and another stellar performance from Dobes could have really made things interesting..

Giving him a start on a Saturday night at the Bell Centre was already a pretty big "move" by Martin St-Louis.

Now, Dobes didn't win against the Devils, but I think we can say that it was thanks to his brilliance that the Canadiens were able to grab a big point in the standings.

He really played well.

A big decision ahead for the Montreal Canadiens and Martin St-Louis once again

This performance by Dobes has once again set the stage for a very interesting decision to come in Montreal.

Who will be in net against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday?

If Jakub Dobes is sent back into the mix, we can really start saying that we possibly have a new number one goalie with the Montreal Canadiens, but let's wait and see.

Personally, I would play the same goalie as long as he doesn't lose or doesn't lose in regulation. (except for the back-to-back game sequences, of course)

In any case, we're just lucky to have two such solid goalies in Montreal, not to mention Jacob Fowler, who is also coming up.
