We just got a strong reaction involving Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield.

Last week, during an appearance on La Poche Bleue, former NHL goaltender and current analyst Pascal Leclaire shared a rather outlandish idea about Caufield.

A suggestion for Martin St-Louis.

He bluntly said this:

"I'll take Caufield as an example. Yes, he scores goals and all that, but he always scores from the same spot, and for the rest of the game, we don't see him.

At some point, if it's not working, why don't we put him in the stands? Is he Jesus of Nazareth or something? No need to do it at home when people are paying, but it's just to send a message.

- Pascal Leclaire

Understandably, this sparked a lot of reactions.

Alain Crête has a completely different opinion on Cole Caufield

This morning on BPM Sports, the excellent Alain Crête also shared a notable perspective on the young Habs forward, but he went in a completely opposite direction.

We love it, and we absolutely agree with him!

Check out the clip in question. Let's just say his message is very clear:

"Give me a break with Caufield's defense! There are plenty of guys who should play defense, let Caufield do his job of scoring goals..

If the guy scores 40, good for him and good for the team!"

- Alain Crête

As he so rightly says, things are rough right now in Montreal, so can we just be happy to see Caufield scoring so many goals?

It's not like the Canadiens are overflowing with goals at the moment, so we'll gladly take his successes.
