We have just learned important news involving the CH's first pick in 2023, David Reinbacher, and it's a significant turnaround.

Contrary to what has been reported in Europe and by journalists from there, the young Canadiens defenseman will ultimately not undergo surgery, which is obviously great news.

«Bad news for Austria and Montreal. Defenseman David Reinbacher must undergo surgery and we will therefore not see him at the World Cup,» information notably reported by journalist Adam Papousek

However, see what Maxime Truman just mentioned.

A change of plan and a turnaround for David Reinbacher?

We like this information more:

«Contrary to what was reported yesterday in Europe, David Reinbacher will not need to be operated on.

That's at least what I've just been told.» - Maxime Truman

So this will be a case to follow, but it's clear that an operation would have been very bad news for the young player's development.

Reinbacher, 19 years old, 6 feet 3 inches and 210 pounds, 5th overall pick of the CH in 2023, is a right-handed defensemen who has accumulated 5 points in 11 games this season in the American Hockey League with the Laval Rocket. (positive differential of +6)

Reinbacher also accumulated 11 points in 35 games at Kloten in the Swiss-A League. (negative differential of -15 with a terrible team)

Details to follow.
