Arber Xhekaj Refuses to Cancel a Scheduled Appointment with Fans, Even Though He Had Every Reason to Do So
Check out what Maxime Truman reported over the last few hours.
«Even though the Habs' plane couldn't return to Montreal yesterday, Arber Xhekaj went straight to his signing session after arriving back in Montreal this afternoon.
Xhekaj left the airport around 12:30 PM, and the signing session started at 2:00 PM.
A true professional!» - Max Truman
Wow, this speaks volumes about his character!
For those who may have missed this saga, let's recap: there was an unexpected incident with the Montreal Canadiens' plane after their game against the Penguins in Pittsburgh (it collided with a fuel truck).
Xhekaj arrived in Montreal very late, at the last minute, and likely exhausted, but he still made it to his signing session.
He had the option to reschedule, and everyone would have understood, but he refused to cancel, out of respect for the fans.
It's always a pleasure to highlight such admirable actions from players in the Montreal Canadiens organization.
More details to follow.
