Not only is this a great end-of-season gift for Mailloux, but it's also a wonderful birthday present!
Indeed, Logan Mailloux's birthday is April 15th, so he was called up on his birthday - the day of his 21st birthday!
For those who were still wondering, yes there was a ban imposed on Mailloux last season, which required the green light from Gary Bettman before he could play in the NHL, but this green light has indeed been given at 100%.
And today he secured that coveted spot with the Canadiens, so the green light has just been given.
The path is completely clear for tonight, and unless there's a huge turn of events, Logan will play his first NHL game.
We really can't wait to see this and we are so happy for him.

See what Bill Daly had to say about Mailloux, as reported by Renaud Lavoie:
Daly confirms here that Mailloux met with the NHL, that they had a good frank conversation, and importantly, he mentions that Logan was impressive during the meeting. He impressed the league's top executives.
Tonight will be a great opportunity for Mailloux to finally turn the page for good, and start his journey as a player in the National Hockey League, for the Montreal Canadiens.
It promises to be exciting! Go Logan Go! Go Habs Go!
The NHL issued this statement on the Canadiens calling up Logan Mailloux and clearing him to play.
