In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens organization has released an official statement.

And yes, even the Canadiens have addressed today's hot topic in Quebec.

Please also note that, contrary to what was indicated on the initial calendar, the Canadiens players will ultimately have the day off today on this eclipse day.

Cancellation of today's ice session; Martin St-Louis gives his players a day off!

Today's practice will not take place. (no, it doesn't seem to be because of the eclipse, but let's say it's a nice bonus)

The Canadiens lost last night to the New York Rangers (5-2) and they also lost Saturday night to the Toronto Maple Leafs (4-2).

However, the team is currently in an excellent position for the 2024 lottery, ahead of the NHL draft.
