Georges Laraque Responds to Kent Hughes and Clears the Air on His Famous "Gerard Gallant Scoop"
The host and former Montreal Canadiens player, Georges Laraque, announced in recent hours that he obtained a scoop.
A scoop that he finally revealed on BPM Sports earlier today:
Shortly after Georges Laraque revealed this scoop, Kent Hughes publicly came out to categorically deny the information.
We were curious to see Laraque's reaction, and here it is.
Georges Laraque breaks the silence after his scoop was denied by Kent Hughes and numerous journalists
Here's an excerpt of his remarks.
«There are two things here, you know. Either the Canadiens are denying it because they don't want the news to spread, or my friend is blind.
I mean.. He sent us a photo of the guy he saw, and he also sent a photo of Gerard Gallant to say that's the guy he recognized.
And I asked my friend, If it happens, would you be willing to confirm it live on air? and he said yes. I asked him in case people would say something about it.
And he's a guy I know very well.»
- Georges Laraque
They also mention that, in any case, the Canadiens' management would never be able to confirm such information publicly.
«Time will tell, but this is from a friend of mine who sent me this, and I showed you everything, to be transparent (speaking to Gonzo), because I don't want people to think that, to make myself interesting, I would invent something.»
- Georges Laraque, who also adds that he would be surprised if his friend was mistaken or made an error.
It's all happening right here:
A case to follow, in any event!
