Joshua Roy's Time with the Canadiens Could End Soon Due to Repeated Mistakes, Says Laraque
In recent hours, on BPM Sports, former Montreal Canadiens player Georges Laraque made a bold statement about Joshua Roy.
As also reported by Marco Normandin, during a discussion on the Laraque & Gonzalez show, Laraque expressed that he would be willing to use forward Joshua Roy as trade bait in a larger transaction.
Are Joshua Roy's Days as a Montreal Canadien Numbered?
Georges Laraque agreed, and he even went further regarding Roy's future in Montreal.
«Honestly, I'd be surprised if he finishes the season as a member of the Montreal Canadiens. With everything we've heard, if I look at the past and history of this team, players who've made similar mistakes, we traded all of them.» - Georges Laraque
Wow. And you, would you be ready to trade Joshua Roy at the right price?
Do you believe this is an option Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens are considering?
We know that the Habs' general manager is currently active on the trade market
So it'll be interesting to see if Joshua Roy's name will return in trade talks over the coming weeks.
Roy, age 21, was a 5th-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2021, and he's scored 6 points in seven games this season with the Laval Rocket (32 points in 41 games last season).
In his NHL career, he's totaled 9 points in 23 games so far.
More details to follow.
