In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens have announced another piece of bad news, and let's just say the team is becoming very fragile at the center position.

"Forward Jake Evans will not participate in today's practice (treatment day)." - Montreal Canadiens

However, the following point is important to highlight.

"Jake Evans is absent from the CH's practice due to 'treatments'.

I don't have the initial sequence in mind, but he momentarily retreated to the locker room during the game in New Jersey, and he seemed to be limping after the match." - Simon-Olivier Lorange, La Presse

So, it's a situation to monitor, and it could hurt Martin St-Louis' lineup badly if the worst is confirmed for Evans.

The four centers for the team this morning were Suzuki, Michael Pezzetta, Colin White, and Alex Newhook.

It would be really unfortunate if Evans has to miss out, as he probably currently has the biggest role and the best opportunity of his young career.
