NHL Player Safety Punishes Utah Player for Actions Against Brendan Gallagher
The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has indeed announced a sanction following the game between the Montreal Canadiens and Utah HC.
We discussed it earlier today, but Jack McBain's dangerous high-stick on Brendan Gallagher ultimately caught the attention of the league's disciplinary officer.

The incident occurred at 0:16 of the second period. McBain was assessed a minor penalty for high-sticking.

Jack McBain, 25 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 219-pound forward.
The 3rd-round pick of the Minnesota Wild in 2018 has recorded 15 points in 43 games this season, including 10 goals, and he has 70 points in 202 career games in the NHL (32 goals and 38 assists).
At the collegiate level, he scored 33 points in 24 games, including 19 goals, in his final season at Boston College.
McBain currently earns an annual salary of $1.599 million and is under contract only until next summer.
Speaking of sanctions announced in connection with the Montreal Canadiens, note that former Canadiens defenseman Johnathan Kovacevic was also disciplined by the NHL in the past few minutes.
