Following the massive Ovation Patrik Laine received from the Bell Centre crowd, his girlfriend experienced a wave of emotions from the stands.
After the game, having soaked in every moment of that special night for her, she posted a short video where she was visibly moved and emotional, and she also shared a small message.
Let's not forget that Laine, despite being injured for several more weeks, was present at the Bell Centre yesterday and was introduced to the crowd as part of the pre-game ceremonies before the opening game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Wow, we love it! Unfortunately, some have criticized Patrik Laine for his reaction to the ovation, but it's important to understand that he's very shy, and you can see from his slight glance toward the ground that he was truly touched.
It was definitely one of my favorite moments of the night, and I must insist, as Martin St. Louis mentioned, Laine was deeply moved by this outpouring of love.
We can't even imagine how much this must have meant to him, and all the motivation it must have given him moving forward.
