We've had some exciting developments regarding forward Patrik Laine today with the Montreal Canadiens.

First off, Patrik Laine officially practiced with his teammates today, a refreshing sight for him and the fans.

Now, the excellent David Calabretta, who covers the Canadiens activities for The Fourth Period network, has just speculated on a precise date for the return of the 6-foot-5 Finnish forward.

Patrik Laine Returning December 3rd?

Here's his post:

"I think December 3rd against the Islanders could be his debut. Maybe earlier." - David Calabretta

So, it could happen pretty soon!

Laine's return will undoubtedly be very exciting for the Montreal Canadiens and will provide quality reinforcements to Martin St-Louis' lineup.

He shouldn't be seen as a savior, but it's clear that his return won't hurt.

Moreover, regarding Patrik Laine's upcoming return to play, we've just received the following official statement:

"I think he's getting closer," said head coach Martin St-Louis after the session, referring to Laine's eventual return to play.

This is a situation we'll obviously keep a close eye on, but it definitely seems to align with the date suggested by Calabretta.

Laine, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-5, 208-pound forward who has amassed 388 points in 480 career NHL games. (204 goals)

He was acquired by Kent Hughes a few months ago from the Columbus Blue Jackets, and we're very excited to see him in uniform.

Will it be enough to turn things around?

Laine won't be alone, as it's also expected that Rafaël Harvey-Pinard will be back in the lineup at that time.

Help is on the way, no doubt!
