Renaud Lavoie Reveals the Real Reason Tomas Plekanec Is Sticking Around the Canadiens' Entourage
You've probably seen some pictures, but former Montreal Canadiens player Tomas Plekanec is spending a lot of time in town these days.
He was even introduced to the fans at the Bell Centre last Saturday during the game between the Habs and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Plekanec has attended almost all the Montreal Canadiens' practices over the past two weeks, and he's constantly around the team.
So the question is.. Why?

On TVA Sports and during his segment on Jean-Charles Lajoie's show, Lavoie revealed the real reason why Tomas Plekanec is currently around the Montreal Canadiens.

Wow, we love it!
This shows just how seriously he takes his assistant coaching job, and clearly, it demonstrates how good his relationship is with the Canadiens organization.
Kudos to the management for allowing him to do all of this!
Who knows? Maybe Plekanec could eventually become a candidate to join the Canadiens as an assistant coach.
In the meantime, he seems determined to improve and learn to become the best assistant possible.
It's truly commendable!
Plekanec, now 42 years old, played 1,001 career games in the NHL, almost all with the Montreal Canadiens, and amassed over 600 points. What a fantastic career!
