St-Louis Completely Shakes Up the Lines Ahead of Tonight's Game vs. Utah, Kirby Dach Gets Punished
We have changes to announce within the Montreal Canadiens lineup.
In preparation for tonight's game live from the Bell Centre against Utah HC, there are a few adjustments.
Notably, it's confirmed for Kirby Dach.
He will be playing on the fourth line tonight, and it will be very interesting to see how he responds on the ice.
Dach will need to step up to move back up the lineup, and it's good to see Martin St-Louis pushing him to earn his spot in the top-six forwards.
As we reported yesterday morning, Dach had indeed been placed on the fourth line during the morning practice, but we were eager to see if that would hold true today, on game day.
And it is!
Forward number 77 will officially be on the fourth line tonight, as just confirmed by the Canadiens.
Do you like this decision?
We have another interesting change to report, this time on defense, as Barron will take Struble's place in the lineup.
Arber Xhekaj's spot in the lineup remains unchanged.
This gives us the following lineup, as reported by the excellent J-F Chaumont.
Caufield-Suzuki-Newhook
Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher
Heineman-Evans-Roy
Slafkovsky-Dach-Armia
Guhle-Barron
Hutson-Matheson
Xhekaj-Savard
Extras: Struble, Pezzetta
Further details to follow.
Kirby Dach, 23 years old, has 8 points in 20 games this season, including just one goal and is -15.
Justin Barron, 23 years old, has 1 point in 9 games this season.
Jayden Struble, 23 years old, has 4 points in 15 games this season.
