St-Louis Reveals the Special Locker Room Moment That Sparked Canadiens' Comeback Against Utah
The Montreal Canadiens once again found a way to surprise us last night with a solid performance against André Tourigny and the Utah team.
After a disastrous first period, the team completely regrouped between the first and second periods, coming from behind to win the game.
A truly impressive turnaround.
During the post-game press conference, many reporters asked Martin St-Louis the following question:
«But what did you do during the first intermission to wake the team up like that?»
His answer surprised many.
Something special happened in the Montreal Canadiens' locker room last night
Here's the report from journalist Eric Engels.
«The Canadiens reset themselves on Tuesday.
The team did a big 'reset.'
That's what Martin St-Louis told reporters at the Delta Center.
He said he didn't even have to intervene after their bad start.
He said nothing.
This shows how much this team has grown over the past six weeks.
The identity they've built can take them even further in the coming months.»
- Eric Engels
It's incredible.
Martin St-Louis didn't even have to intervene last night between the first and second periods.
The players took care of it themselves and made sure to wake up on their own.
This speaks volumes about the current culture in that locker room.
We had to repair quick, the locker room handled it and we came out and looked like ourselves again in the 2nd period.
