After three seasons in *the show*, he's on his way, but he still has some work to do to get there.
However, he might face competition in this area as one of his future teammates could certainly challenge him in this regard.
Indeed, according to Grant McCagg, Michael Hage has all the tools to score abundantly in the NHL.
For the Recrutes site, the former professional scout for the Canadiens analyzed videos of 30 Canadiens prospects. His verdict concerning Hage is unequivocal. The young prospect has a shot that will allow him to score at every level he plays.
McCagg is impressed by Hage's wrist shot, which is accurate, quick, and powerful. He masters it almost as well as a certain Connor Bedard, who popularized the *Toe Drag Release*.
But that's not all!
According to the former scout, Hage not only has a good shot, but he is also an excellent skater. He is even one of the best in his draft class. He can position himself well to get the best angle to use his other weapon, the shot.
This is not to mention all the other aspects of the game he masters.
In early July, Simon *Snake* Boisvert mentioned that the young Canadiens prospect was an enhanced version of Phillip Danault. Like the Quebecer, Hage is good defensively but has, according to Boisvert, greater offensive talent. The controversial prospect analyst even sees Hage as a second-line center on a team contending for major honors, or an excellent third-line player.
Caufield still has time to reach the 40-goal mark first, as Hage won't be with the club for another 2-3 years. He will play the next season in the NCAA, and McCagg thinks he will need at least one year in the AHL with the Rocket before making the jump to the big league.
