In the last few seconds, for the first time since Martin St-Louis left, the Canadiens held a big press conference.

Martin would have been proud!

The players have taken more responsibility and they had nothing but good things to say about St-Louis.

It feels like this unfortunate situation has encouraged the players to come together even more, like a real family.

They seemed strong in the press conference and you can tell they are on a mission.

"It's tough, but we know what to do! The culture is well established and we're going to win for him. We have to continue and we have to make him proud. - Cole Caufield

Nick Suzuki also had notably good words for his head coach.

Several team players (like Samuel Montembeault) also had good things to say about Trevor Letowski, who is currently replacing Martin St-Louis.

See the captain's statement on this matter, precisely:

"Nick Suzuki, regarding Trevor Letowski as Martin St-Louis's replacement: 'it's not very different on the bench or in the game; Marty and Trev always talked about lines so it's not as if Trev has never done it before. He's been a head coach for a long time and he knows how to manage a bench..."

Also, Letowski revealed that he and Marty have been in constant contact since St-Louis had to leave.

Trevor Letowski says despite being away from the team attending to his family matter, he and Martin St-Louis are in constant contact and MSL is still very much involved in the day-to-day of the team.

It will be interesting to see how this translates on the ice.
