Acquisitions of the Colorado Avalanche coming from the Montreal Canadiens: the organization will officially line up three former CH players at left wing
Clearly, the Colorado Avalanche leaders liked what they saw from some players who recently played for the Montreal Canadiens.
As many of you have pointed out to us, following the recent signing of Tomas Tatar, the top three (3) left wingers for the Avalanche will be very familiar to CH fans!
Indeed, unnoticed, the recent Stanley Cup champions will have the same three left wingers this season as the Canadiens had in 2020-21.
Interesting acquisitions by the Avalanche from Montreal
Tatar, 32 years old, was signed as a free agent last September 12th. (1 year/1.5 million dollars)
Drouin, 28 years old, was signed as a free agent last July 1st. (1 year/825,000 dollars)
Lehkonen, 28 years old, was acquired via trade on March 21, 2022, from the Montreal Canadiens, in exchange for Justin Barron and a 2024 second-round pick.
It will be interesting to see how these familiar acquisitions will perform in Colorado this season. Will they lead the Avalanche to the Stanley Cup? That is certainly the goal!
