Uncertainty about the future of the Arizona Coyotes is bothering some players in the organization, as was the case with Clayton Keller when his father publicly admitted that his son would never wear the team's uniform again.

But let's say the dust has settled and the star forward should start the season in Arizona.

However, another player from the organization has publicly stated that he will not report to the Coyotes, and thus becomes an unrestricted free agent at just 22 years of age.

According to TSN, John Farinacci, who was a third-round pick by the Coyotes in 2019, is turning his back on the team and is exercising his right to become a free agent.

In 2022-2023, the young center played with the Harvard University team where he collected 20 points in 19 games during his last stint in the NCAA.

Some rumors link him with the Boston Bruins and the Calgary Flames, but once again, the Coyotes organization appears to be the laughingstock of the NHL.

Recall that last May, the amphitheater project in Tempe, Arizona was rejected by the population in a referendum, and yet, owner Alex Meruello is still trying to find a place to build a new arena.

While waiting for a miracle, the Coyotes will play for a second season at Mullet Arena, which can only accommodate 5,000 spectators.

By the way, Farinacci is not the first player drafted by the Coyotes who doesn't want to agree with the team. In 2004, a certain Blake Wheeler was selected fifth overall in the draft.

But he waited to become a free agent to join the Bruins in 2008, and the Coyotes organization received a second-round pick as compensation.

It seems that the scenario will repeat for this team that seems to be going nowhere since its move from Winnipeg in 1996.

Last minute update: Farinacci has just signed with the Boston Bruins
