Last minute surprise on the NHL waivers as Vancouver Canucks goaltender Spencer Martin will be available
According to the information from the renowned Elliotte Friedman, of Sportsnet, we will have a first surprise at the NHL waiver today.
Following the acquisition of Casey DeSmith, from the Montreal Canadiens, the Vancouver Canucks are reportedly already about to make their goaltender Spencer Martin available.
Martin is a goaltender standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 191 pounds. He played 29 games for the Canucks last season, so it's a surprise to see him on waivers so early in training camp.
It will be interesting to know the verdict, but do not be surprised if a team like the Colorado Avalanche claims him.
More details to follow.
