Major: The Canadiens are working on a trade involving Joel Armia and we have the details
Here's an interesting development.
In the last few minutes, renowned insider David Pagnotta reported this about the Montreal Canadiens:
"The Canadiens have recalled Joel Armia from the AHL. They tried to trade him this summer, and I'm told they have resumed negotiations to finalize a trade this week (they're working on it). We'll see if any progress is made. He has one more year on his contract with a salary of $3.4 million."
David Pagnotta Recalling Armia thus makes more and more sense. He will be showcased to other teams, and don't be surprised if a trade involving him is announced soon.
Armia, 30, is a winger who stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 216 pounds.
He was drafted in the 1st round in 2011 by the Buffalo Sabres and has accumulated 153 points (75 goals) in his NHL career. (plus 5 points, including 4 goals, in 4 games with the Laval Rocket this season)
What do you think Armia is worth on the trade market?
