Major announcement from the Bruins: a trade proposal involving the Canadiens and Boston has just surfaced
You are already well aware of the big announcement from the Boston Bruins this week, as forward Patrice Bergeron announced his retirement.
A legend in their history.
That being said, the Bruins must now focus on the "hockey" aspect of this announcement and take action to strengthen their center position, which is now very weak.
Their top three centers are Pavel Zacha, Charlie Coyle, and Morgan Geekie. Their fourth? Patrick Brown.
They need to add to their center depth.
Identified Targets!
In the past few minutes, journalist Josh Wegman from The Score has targeted center players that the Bruins should try to acquire via trade.
There are more complex options like Mark Scheifele from the Winnipeg Jets and Elias Lindholm from the Calgary Flames, but there are also simpler and easier ones to work out, like Christian Dvorak from the Montreal Canadiens.
Indeed, Dvorak's name is at the top of the journalist's list, particularly because the Bruins lack solid faceoff performers.
Obviously, Dvorak will never replace Patrice Bergeron, but he could certainly be an improvement over players like Charlie Coyle, Patrick Brown, and Morgan Geekie.
Would you do it? Would you trade Dvorak to the Bruins?
