Massive statement regarding the Toffoli trade that brought prospect Emil Heineman
Since his arrival in North America just over two weeks ago, prospect Emil Heineman has been the center of attention in Laval.
Paired with Pierrick Dubé and Mitchell Stephens, Heineman wasted no time taking off with the Rocket, tallying seven goals and nine points in just eight games.
During his appearance on the podcast, The Dose, Anthony Marcotte, the voice of the Laval Rocket, expressed great admiration for Heineman's debut in the American Hockey League.
He admitted to being particularly surprised by the power of his shot, acquired in the trade that sent Tyler Toffoli to the Calgary Flames.
Marcotte went even further by mentioning that he believes the Canadiens acquired an NHL player in this transaction.
We love it! So the Canadiens would have indeed acquired an NHL player in this trade with the Flames!
According to him, Heineman could even be a player to watch during the next training camp, as he has a chance to make the team if he continues his good work. Wow!
Recall that the Finn had already made a good impression during the last camp. He had, among other things, been one of the last players cut.
Could the 2023-24 season be the right one for Emil Heineman to earn a spot in the NHL? We'll see next September.
Until then, the Finn has five games left to try to continue his momentum and help the Rocket qualify for the playoffs.
