Giant-sized goaltender MacKenzie Blackwood has just been traded to the San Jose Sharks.
I'm told that the Devils are trading goaltender MacKenzie Blackwood to the San Jose Sharks for a 6th round pick. - Kevin Weekes
This is a solid trade for the Sharks, and a great "guess". A goalie who has battled injuries but still has very high potential.
Blackwood, 26 years old, is a monster at 6 feet 4 inches and 225 pounds. He was incredible in his first two seasons in the NHL, at 21 and 22 years old, with efficiency rates of 0.918.
