It's already been several months since the fans of the Montreal Canadiens have been demanding it, but it has just been discussed on RDS broadcasts.

«Would you like to see a Nicolas Deslauriers land in Montreal to help Arber Xhekaj in terms of toughness?»

L'Antichambre

See what Benoit Brunet notably had to say on the subject.

As they mention, the Flyers are heading towards a major rebuild, and they don't necessarily need the services of Deslauriers in the short term.

They are much less advanced than the CH in their rebuild and it's certain that with the right offer, they would agree to trade Deslauriers.

Would you like Kent Hughes to pull off this transaction, to place him on the fourth line to protect our young players, to help Arber Xhekaj, and to cool the ardor of opposing players?

«A quick phone call (to the Flyers)! A deal is built and he is capable of playing hockey, there!»

And we also learn that Deslauriers was very interested in signing with the Montreal Canadiens in the summer of 2022, but Philadelphia simply offered him a very nice contract!

Go, Kent Hughes! The opportunity is there!

Deslauriers, 32 years old, originally from La Salle in Quebec, accumulated 12 points and 136 penalty minutes last season.

We notably saw him earlier this week against the Ottawa Senators, but he would be very useful in the CH lineup!
