Trade proposal emerges sending Juraj Slafkovsky to a western conference team and fans are upset
A wild trade sending Montreal Canadiens first overall pick in 2022 Juraj Slafkovsky for Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks has emerged, and fans are not happy.
Zegras for Slafkovsky?
Sending Juraj Slafkovsky to the Anaheim Ducks in only his sophomore season would be a disaster for the Canadiens after passing on Shane Wright and Logan Cooley. Let alone that, it would be an absolute fleece for the Anaheim Ducks getting a 6,4 Left winger with elite offensive upside. We think the Montreal Canadiens would never do a trade like that, but who knows.
Slafkovsky is finding his game
The Slovakian had a rough start to his NHL career after getting 10 points in his first 39 NHL games. He's starting to pick it up. The forward has 15 points in 42 games this season, and has 8 points in his last 11 games.
Ever since the Slovakian sensation got bumped up to a line with Canadiens Stars Cole Caufield and captain Nick Suzuki, Juraj has never looked back. It's always a big mistake giving up on your young prospects so early. The 19 year old has so much to prove and once he starts shooting more and realizing how big he is, he will be a threat to the National Hockey League.
